I. The exploration that never cedes
Homo sapiens gather, in the form of tribes, then of people, to survive. Survival depends upon collaboration, collaboration upon stories. Words were written and then printed, pictures were drawn on caves and then on walls of cathedrals. Grand stories were created and civilizations were made.
Now, humanity is aiming for Mars. The deepest desire within us is to explore, but before the exploration begins, we need spread stories about why we are here and why we want to be there.
Pictures, words and music are tools, great stories live within them. Those who use the tools skillfully are the creators of stories and the carriers of mankind’s ultimate power.

Creation, after all, is our destiny.
II. Moving forward
When Joseph Schumpeter coined the term “creative destruction” eight decades ago, few expected the changes coming so rapidly and decisively. With orders destroyed and rebuilt, people started embracing new ways of doing things.
The ways of creation, however, did not progress.
There has been a wall, an invisible wall between the creators and the audience. The wall has always been there since the commercialization of art. The wall was put there by the the agents, for a purpose, so that the creators must obtain approval from the middlemen before they can reach their audience.
But do we need this wall? Do we need a Sotheby’s for art deals? Do we need galleries to discovery talents? Do we need curators to make connections? We used to do, but not anymore.
“Creative destruction” finally comes to the area of creation.
III.The changes that bring hopes
In order to make money, creations need to be turned into complicated media forms, and it is a huge mistake. Investment has been poured into advertisements, video games and films, with unprecedented failing ratio, turning those industries into casinos. To succeed continuously in the creative space is hard to imagine, especially for the big names.
Musicians, painters, illustrators, designers, video game makers, writers and all creative workers, they are in the state of constant waiting.
